Speckles has had a crazy life before being an indoor kitty. She was outside and had at least a couple of litters who all found forever homes. She could honestly write a novel with all her adventures! And now, it's time for Speckles to start on a new journey - finding a home to call her own â¤ï¸ Speckles is the ultimate tortie: a Queen Bee with a fun, strong personality. She loves food, constantly asks for attention (like really never stops squeaking and purring), and (gently) demands that her humans shower her with affection. Insanely intelligent, Speckles is a great observational learner. Watching the other cats in her foster home has made her more comfortable with the inside life and the whole idea of toys. She has two ultimate favorites: the laser pointer and a bird that makes chirping noises. But it's also not uncommon to hear her running back and forth through the cat tunnel, throwing little balls with bells in them in the air, and rolling all over catnip. There is only one major thing Speckles doesn't want, and that's to be picked up. She is a 'four paws on the ground' sort of kitty. But that won't stop her from asking for love! She would prefer to be an only kitty (so she can be the main star ) but she has gotten used to other animals in her foster home after months of patience. Introductions must be made extremely slowly and at her pace though. She may do best if she's introduced to a kitten after she's been in a new home for a bit (that way she can still be the reigning ruler and boss the newbie around). All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if its medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home. â Our adoption fees: Kittens (under 6 months): $150 (or 2 for $225) Adults (6 months to 7 years): $75 (or 2 for $100) Seniors (8 years and up): $40 (or 2 for $60) All cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies (if age appropriate) and distemper, and microchipped.May 18, 2024, 9:30 amAdoption processAn adoption application can be filled out online through our web site www.commcat.org.
